Joint Communique #20

The delegations of the Government and the FARC-EP report that:

After exchanging proposals on the second item of the Agenda, related to political participation, they have worked separately in order to continue discussing the first sub-item called ?Rights and guarantees for the exercise of the political opposition in general and in particular for the new movements that arise after the signing of the Final Agreement. Access to the media."

Joint Communique # 40

Havana, August 5, 2014

The delegations of the National Government and the FARC-EP, as a result of the four preparatory meetings we had during the last month, culminating in the meeting held from the 3rd to the 5th of August, have reached additional agreements on: i) Measures to successfully carry out the visits of victims to Havana; a ii) Historical Commission of the conflict and its victims; iii) Sub-committee regarding section 3 of the Agenda of the General Agreement: "End of Conflict"; and iv) Sub-committee on gender.

The delegations of the national government and the FARC-EP inform the public that we agreed the mechanisms for direct participation of the victims of the internal conflict in the Havana peace talks and we acknowledge that their voice will be a key input for the discussions on this issue.

Joint Communique #38

The National Government and the FARC-EP report that during the 6th and 7th of July, delegates from both parties had several meetings in Havana to prepare the next point of the Agenda. During the meetings, progress was made in the discussion about how victims' representatives will participate in the peace conversations.
