Sometimes it seemed that to change this society, so that we wouldn't be just numbers anymore in our class enemy's instrumental statistics, but a real opponent, so that history would lead a man like comandante Manuel Marulanda to build a strong popular power from below and fight, often only with the force of moral, against enemies who have infinitely greater resources, was impossible;
It seems that now we have arrived to the items of victims, justice and end of the conflict, the only viable alternative is to submit ourselves to the discourse of power.
According to President Santos' statement, made during the presentation and acknowledgement of the new commanders of the Army, Air Force and Navy, only during the first five years of his government, 64 leaders of the FARC and some 20 of the ELN have been eliminated, which he qualifies as stunning blows or victories of the official armed forces, without which we would not be sitting at the talks in Havana.
What is the Legal Framework for Peace and why is it so controversial? The FARC-EP and the government mention it constantly in their declarations, but only few people understand what is really at stake.
"We are at the point where the government, knowing the consequences, wanted us to be?
The resumption of round 38, comandante Pastor Alape, FARC-EP spokesman, spoke Friday on commitments to move towards national reconciliation, the establishment of the truth and full reparation for victims. ?Advisory commission reflects exclusion in Colombia? - FARC-EP
Havana, Cuba - At the beginning of round 34 of the peace talks, the FARC-EP criticized the recently formed Peace Advisory Commission, appointed unilaterally by the government of Juan Manuel Santos. The insurgency pointed out that the commission is elitist and exclusionary and does not take into account all sectors of the existing political, social and economic life in the country.
Havana, Cuba - Today February 2, 2015 started the first round of talks this year, number 32 since the peace talks between the government of Colombia and the FARC-EP began in Havana.

Our commitment to the desire for peace of the Colombian people is total. That is why we never agreed with the unfortunate comment made by former Israeli Prime Minister Isaac Rabin, copied by President Santos, who said ?we will negotiate as if there were no terrorists, and we will fight the terrorists as if there were no peace negotiations". Now the President restates his position, saying that this disconnection is no longer necessary.
"One would say that the idea is to make the guerrillas disappear to guarantee the broadest possible market for the transnationals"
Written by: Timoshenko, Commander-in-Chief of the FARC-EP
Last week, visiting Madrid, President Santos benefited from the important role of James Rodr?guez and Carlos Bacca, respectively playing for Real Madrid and Sevilla, speaking of them as an expression of that joyful, prosperous Colombia, with faith in its future. Colombians are now being part of the 'elites of excellence', being the projection of a modern country with growing importance in the world, he stated categorically.
The presence of a plural number of guerrilla Comandantes in Havana, who will integrate the technical commission, is an unprecedented fact that will bring together representatives of the insurgency and active military, with the common purpose of developing recommendations for the two parties related to item 3 of the Agenda, on issues of bilateral ceasefire and abandonment of arms, is undoubtedly an event of singular political importance, result of the progress that has been made. But it is also a clear sign of the commitment of the FARC-EP to the process, a step forward for peace with social justice in Colombia.

There are many fabrications and false assumptions underlying the Colombia peace negotiations between the Santos regime and FARC ? EP (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia ? Peoples Army). The first and most egregious is that Colombia is a democracy. The second is that the Santos regime pursues policies which enhance non-violent social and political activity conducive to integrating the armed insurgency into the political system.
