Havana - Cuba - The Peace Delegation of the FARC-EP, represented by Comandante Iv?n M?rquez, rejected the way in which the Colombian government is imposing formulas, referring to draft Statutory Law 94 of 2015, by which "the plebiscite for peace is regulated".

Havana, Cuba - The Peace Delegation of the FARC-EP, represented by Comandante Iv?n M?rquez, who read a poem dedicated to the late Comandante Alfonso Cano before reading today's communiqu?, made an appeal to the National Government to use common sense in order to meet the stipulations of the General Agreement and the rest of the agreements, but also what logic and natural reason teach us is necessary to move this peace process forward, as a gateway to reconciliation of Colombian society.

This morning, head of the Peace Delegation Iv?n M?rquez read a declaration with some reflections about the Special Jurisdiction for Peace. According to the spokesman, the agreement has been welcomed by several organizations and prominent personalities like the UN, the E.U., Luigi Ferrajoli (respected Italian jurist), the USA, Celac, Unasur, the International Criminal Court and many others.

We have announced our optimism about the peace talks to the country. We firmly believe in the successful development of the peace talks and the real possibility of a Final Agreement. But this view cannot bring us to ignore realities that make the transition to a Colombia in peace and social justice more difficult.

At the beginning of round 41 of the peace talks between the government of Colombia and the FARC-EP, insurgency spokesman Iv?n M?rquez, in his usual interchange with the media, showed himself optimistic about the possibility of a final agreement.
Yesterday, Comandante Iv?n M?rquez welcomed the second working day of the delegation of women's organizations, which since the day before yesterday has been conducting activities with the Gender Subcommission, discussing the specific issue of conflict-related gender-based and sexual violence.

At the entrance of the place where the peace talks between the Colombia?s government and the FARC-EP are carried out, in Havana, Cuba, Comandante Pablo Catatumbo read a statement of the Alfonso Cano?s Block, which clarifies the responsibility of units of the mobile column Daniel Aldana in the death of the ethnic leader Genaro Garcia.
The purpose of peace requires coherence
During the usual interchange with the press, the FARC-EP?s Peace Delegation expressed its concern about the bleak picture that looms over the agreement on speeding up the peacetalks in Havana and de-escalate the conflict in Colombia.

The FARC-EP?s Secretariat, represented by Carlos Antonio Lozada, read an open letter to the Broad Front for peace and other organizations in charge of monitoring the unilateral ceasefire.
